One of my minigolf arch-rivals and I have collaborated on a new hole-in-one video. Check it out on 'The Putter King' Allan Cox's YouTube Channel.
My antipodean rival and friend has been YouTubing since 2011. Our fierce rivalry began during the worldwide Putter King Miniature Golf Scavenger Hunt in 2012! Allan won that.
Check out Allan's YouTube Channel for stacks of other minigolf and Putt-Putt videos - including his most popular upload which has received more than 4m views!

American Golf championships on Sky Sports Golf
Details of the American Golf championships to be shown on Sky Sports Golf.
The American Golf Championship TV programme schedule has been released, with ten shows airing during prime time on Sky Sports Golf - including the inaugural Adventure Golf Pairs Championship.
Coverage tees-off at 7pm tonight (17th October) with the American Golf Junior Championship. Airing every Tuesday evening, the season of tournaments concludes on the 19th December with the American Golf Season Review.
The American Golf Championship Tour invited players from all parts of the golfing spectrum to compete in its range of events. This year more than 7,500 players competed in a total of 17 tournament categories at 168 venues.
Being interviewed by Gemma Care from Sky Sports at the Grand Final |
Alongside my team-mate Peter Jones I competed in the inaugural American Golf Adventure Golf Pairs Championships. After winning the Welsh Regional Qualifier at Clays Golf Centre in Wrexham in April we competed in the Grand Final at The Belfry in September.
The American Golf Adventure Golf Championships will be shown as part of the American Golf Family Championship programme on the 7th November.
Further information is available on the American Golf website.

It's an axe!
We did a bit of shopping in Asda this evening and I had a look at the Halloween section. There's some good stuff in stock, but I'm not sure about this item.

Plonk Golf's new Crazy Golf Puzzle Room
New minigolf course concept by the team at Plonk Golf.
The team at Plonk Golf recently celebrated the brand's third birthday and have opened a new Crazy Golf Puzzle Room in London Fields to celebrate!
The Crazy Golf Puzzle Room has 9-holes, 9-puzzles and players have an hour to solve the riddles to escape. The layout is partly indoors and partly outdoors so it'll make for an interesting playing environment.
Check out the Plonk Golf website for more information, opening times and prices.
On our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour travels we've played the Plonk Golf courses at Efes Snooker Club in Dalston and at the Duke of Edinburgh pub in Brixton.
Other Plonk Golf locations can be found in Walthamstow, Hackney and Battersea.

Mini Golf in Muscat, Oman
Details of the Mini Golf course at the Shangri-la Hotel in Muscat, Oman.
My cousins have been Crazy Golfing again and have sent over some snaps from their game at the Shangri-la Hotel in Muscat, Oman. Conditions looked a little different from their round of Crazy Golf at the Seawick Holiday Park in St Osyth, Essex earlier this year.
The 9-hole Mini Golf course is at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman |
My cousin's husband Adam tells me he won the game with 18 shots over the 9-holes - including holes-in-one on the first and last hole. A very nice score indeed. He must of been in Crazy Golf paradise after the round. My cousin Sharon aced hole 1.
Sharon playing hole 6 |
Interestingly eight of the nine holes on the Mini Golf course at the Shangri-la Hotel had two cups to putt into!? I haven't seen that as an option before!
An interesting green on the minigolf course in Muscat |
You have the choice of two cups to putt into on eight of the holes! |

Crazy Golf at Chasewater Country Park
On Sunday 10th September we swung by Chasewater Country Park in Staffordshire to check out the Crazy Golf course there. Unfortunately it was closed.
An all too familiar scene on our travels |
Part of the 9-hole course |
The 9-hole Crazy Golf course was the 777th course visited on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
I assure you that this sign actually says "CRAZY GOLF"! |

We did however make the most of our time at Chasewater Country Park as we spotted there was a heritage steam railway there too so stopped by to indulge in some train nerdery. Marvellous.

Crazy Golf at Beacon Park in Lichfield
Playing the Crazy Golf course at Beacon Park in Lichfield, Staffordshire.
On Sunday 10th September we swung by Beacon Park in Lichfield, Staffordshire for a game on the Crazy Golf course there.
The Crazy Golf course is in a nice setting |
The 9-hole Crazy Golf course is of the Eternit Miniature Golf variety, although it has had some modifications from the norm. This was in the form of felt over the thin concrete playing surface as well as a selection of fibreglass obstacles, including a Humpty.
The Crazy Golf course at Beacon Park in Lichfield became the 775th course visited and 461st played on our Crazy World of Minigolf Tour.
I'm always happy if there's a Humpty obstacle on a course |
In our minigolf match-up I won with a score of 19 to Emily's 23.
It's a good little Crazy Golf layout and we had a fun round on it.
Bumpy |
We enjoyed our visit to Beacon Park. The whole area looked nice and the facilities in the park were very good. The Crazy Golf course is next to Pitch & Putt, FootGolf and Disc Golf courses, as well as a Petanque terrain and the park cafe.
Disc Golf, Foot Golf and Pitch & Putt layouts can be seen beyond the fence |

Hole 9 |
Judging by the piece of metal to the left it looks like there used to be a different obstacle on this hole |
This was the first time we've seen this variant on the ramp obstacle. Normally the ball is trapped inside the box after putting as a way to collect the ball at the end of a round |
Check out the Lichfield Historic Parks and Visit Lichfield websites for more info on Beacon Park and its facilities.
A nice bit of history |
