Emily spotted this 'Ghostbusters' van on her recent trip to Swansea!

We've seen a few Ghostbusters vehicles on our travels, including Ecto-1a in Urmston, a Ghostbusters car in Scarborough, and Ecto-1 at The Light cinema in Stockport and at the Totally Stockport Comic Con.

We had a marvellous morning at the Totally Stockport FREE Comic Con. What a brilliant event. So much to see and do.

The event was organised by Totally Stockport.

There have been some superb events here in Stockport. The last Comic Con was excellent too. The event was set to become an annual attraction, but the coronavirus put paid to the follow-up event in May 2020.

I've wanted to see K.I.T.T. in real life since I was a little kid. This was amazing!

We're so glad the event went ahead and are looking forward to the next Stockport Comic Con already!

It was nice to see Ecto-1 at The Light cinema in Stockport on Saturday evening as part of the promotion for the new Ghostbusters film.

I saw Ecto-1a and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in Urmston for Halloween a couple of years ago too.

Today is Back to the Future Day

We saw a Back to the Future DeLorean time machine at MediaCityUK in Salford a few days before the coronavirus pandemic lockdown was put in place

We saw an Only Fools and Horses Reliant Regal Supervan racing through Sudbury, Suffolk last month.

It's one of a number of Del Boy vans we've seen while out and about.

Happy Back to the Future Day

Today is Back to the Future Day.

Back on the 13th March I got to see a DeLorean time machine at MediaCity in Salford. How different times were then!

Last Saturday we found a video rental shop stocked with loads of VHS tapes. It was like stepping back in time! You can find B.V.C. - Bolton Video Centre in Little Lever

What a difference a year makes

This time last year I saw my first DeLorean in real life at the Didsbury & South Manchester Car Show in Didsbury Park.

DeLoreans are like buses - you wait over 30 years to see one and then get to see two at the same time

If only I had a time machine to go back to then - or forward to after the pandemic.

One of the last times we travelled anywhere outside of Stockport was to see a Back to the Future time machine DeLorean at Media City in Salford back on the 13th March.

I've seen a few different vehicles from the 80s on my travels including an Ecto-1 and Ecto-1a from Ghostbusters, a DMC DeLorean, a Star Wars Speeder Bike from Return of the Jedi, and most recently a Back to the Future DeLorean.

What a Clown Car!

Looking through my photo archives I spotted this snap of a crazy clown car I saw in Great Yarmouth on my last visit to the seaside resort.

Our friend Celine was showing off her car at the Didsbury & South Manchester Car Show in Didsbury Park yesterday and as soon as she parked up let me know there were some DeLoreans there too.

What a sight!

I've wanted to see one in real life for ages, so it was typical I got to see two at the same time.

Next I need to drive one.

'Ecto-1' in Scarborough

Spotting a Ghostbusters car in Scarborough.

Last Friday we were in Scarborough and while walking back from the North Bay seafront we spotted Ecto-1 drive past us! We didn't have time to grab a snap.

That was until I spotted it again on Saturday. This time in the South Bay.

The car was part of the Gib or Bust rally last year and is raising money for Saint Catherine's Hospice.

Inflatable advertising at Toyota in Stockport

One of my favourite things to see while out and about is inflatable advertising - whether it's a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man promoting an antiques shop, to a more static inflatable directing you to an amusement arcade - they're always fun to see. So, you can imagine my reaction when I spotted this BIG inflatable piece of signage advertising a MASSIVE SALE at the Toyota car dealership on St Mary's Way in Stockport!

We were heading home from a bit of a bike ride round the borough when I saw the inflatable thing in the distance

What a sight!

It's the third piece of inflatable advertising I've seen since moving to Stockport last year. The first was a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man Father Christmas advertising Terry's Fabrics in Cheadle Heath. The second was a 'static' inflatable promoting beds at United Carpets and Beds in Hazel Grove.

I love it when a bootleg comes together

While in Leeds at the weekend I spotted The Waste Team's car outside our hotel. Looking on their website I've seen they've got a whole fleet of branded vehicles! Brilliant.
