Richard said “I’m really glad that the Midlands 1 team finished on the podium and won the silver medal defeating some very strong teams. It’s a shame I had two relatively bad rounds over the two days of the British Open, but my round of 27 was my all-time personal best score on a UK Minigolf course which is great.”

Michael Smith of Oxford won the BMGA British Open and BMGA Players Championship.
